Delaware Family Voices has several programs, each with a different purpose. Programs include: navigating health and insurance systems, peer to peer emotional support, and support for families whose children have behavioral or emotional issues. If our programs don’t fit your needs, we can connect you with one that will.

Family Leadership Advisory Council (FLAC)

Parents and providers are invited to attend quarterly meetings to learn about current and future F2F activities. Guest speakers provide information about resources or programs available to CHSHCN. Call (302) 345-2103 for information.

National Family Voices is a national, family-led organization that works to keep families at the center of children’s health care. Learn more

Committee of parents of medically complex children and adults whose focus is on changes needed to systems to better serve their children. Learn more

Parent to Parent

Parent to Parent USA has been providing emotional and informational support to the families of children with special needs, most notably through the one-to-one matching of parents seeking support with an experienced, trained ‘Support Parent’. Delaware Family Voices is the official Delaware Parent to Parent program and alliance member of Parent to Parent USA.

Federation of Families For Children’s Mental Health

Federation of Families For Children’s Mental Health is a family-run organization with chapters throughout the United States, whose focus is on the issues of children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs, and the families who care for these children.

Delaware Family Voices provides the leadership and training necessary for families to manage the Delaware chapter of the National Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health.

Parent Information Center of Delaware (PIC)

The Center for Parent Information and Resources is a central hub with information about Parent Training and Information Centers (PIC) and Community Parent Resource Centers (CPRCs).

PIC is funded through the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), help families understand special education services for CYSHCN to age 22.

All DEFV programs are now housed under the Parent Information Center of Delaware, and will continue to operate without noticeable change.
